What is Matcha
Matcha is so much more than your average green tea- it's a tradition, an experience. Made from the Camellia Sinensis plant (just like all tea), matcha stands out because it's crafted from the youngest, most tender tencha leaves. These leaves are pampered- they're shade grown for over three weeks before the Spring harvest, allowing them to develop that vibrant green color and signature flavor we love. Then, they're delicately stone-milled into a fine, silky powder. But here's the real magic: unlike regular tea, where you steep and toss the leaves, with matcha, you're drinking the whole leaf! This means you are getting all those amazing antioxidants and nutrients, sip by sip.
